Handpoke Process
Quiet, precise and with attention — one poke at a time.
What is Handpoke?
Handpoke is an ancient, artisanal method of tattooing. Instead of a machine, I work with a single needle and apply the ink into the skin by hand. This makes the process quieter and more controlled — you literally feel that work is being done with attention.
During the session, we start by placing the stencil and carefully determining the position. Then I build the design layer by layer. Lines are quietly "set" and reinforced where necessary, and shadows or dotwork are gradually built up. Because I don't use a machine, I determine the pace and depth per movement myself. This allows me to respond to your skin, the spot on the body, and the level of detail of the design.
That control often ensures a pleasant experience: less hectic, more peace in the session, and a tattoo that lies beautifully and organically in the skin. The healing is also experienced as gentler by many people, especially when you follow the aftercare properly. The result is timeless: clear lines, a natural texture, and a tattoo made with attention — from start to finish.
